It's OK Thursdays...

Happy Thursday Readers!

Hurray for blogging two days in a row! And what's more appropriate than linking up for It's Okay Thursdays! There's a bunch of different things I'm OK with on this thursday...

I'm super OK with the fact that I just signed a lease for a new apartment in Fall! Make's me sooo eager for September to get here!

I'm OK with see the new Batman movie with my office this afternoon! Hurray for company outings to the movies!

I'm not OK with the current weather...grey skies, cloudy, and humid- not a fan!

I'm super OK with it almost being the weekend! Even though I have to work on Saturday, ITP is having a big sale so it should be busy which will help make the hours fly by!

It's (kinda) OK to go to the same salad place multiple times a week...not okay that sometimes the salads I get are so loaded with extra toppings, I think it defeats the purpose of having an actual salad....

It's OK...to be completely obsessed with this Marley Lilly  clutch...pay-day is tomorrow and I feel like I need to stop buying summer clothes, so maybe I should finally take the plunge and buy this clutch!

What are you OK with today?!

It's OK Thursdays!

Happy Thursday Readers!

I'm linking up with Neely from A Complete Waste of Makeup for It's OK Thursdays again! There's a lot of things I'm OK with today...

It's OK...that I go back to Boston next Tuesday. I'm loving the time off from school and getting to spend time with my family but I'm ready to get back into the swing of things and back to a normal schedule. Staying in PJs till noon is getting a bit old...

It's OK...that I received my first monogrammed scarf from Marley Lilly the other day! I chose a pink scarf with a Khaki monogram to match the gloves and earmuffs I wear at school! I'm really loving the monogram but I wish the scarf was a bit longer!

It's OK...that I made a trip to TJ Maxx yesterday and came back with Nike Norts, Lilly Pulitzer note cards, Apple Cinnamon Scone Mix, and Banana Chips for under $25! I lovee a trip to TJ Maxx!

It's (not that) OK...that my sorority's formal recruitment is in a little over a week! I cannot believe this will be my last recruitment ever! I remember when I went through recruitment three years ago like it was yesterday! I'm so excited for our new members (whoever they may be!).

It's OK that...I'm going into the city today to one of the biggest shoe sales of the year! I'm looking for new loafers! Hopefully I'll be able to find something!

It's OK that...I created a button! Or at least I tried to-still trying to figure some of this blogging stuff out! I added some of my favorite read's buttons to my blog and feel free to grab mine!

It's (really) OK...that you can still enter my favorite's giveaway here! This giveaway will close Monday night at 9pm!

What are you OK with today?

XOXO

It's OK Thursdays!

Happy Thursdays Readers and happy December!  I hope everyone is having a great week and is gearing up for the weekend!

There's a TON of things I'm okay with today...

It's OK...that I finished my paper for my blog project last night...the reason I started Pink Zin was because of an assignment for one of my classes (hi Professor Quigley!) and couldn't have imagined that I would fall in love with blogging so much, meet so many amazing people and really just find a hobby that I truly enjoy. I definitely don't plan on abandoning Pink Zin just because my project is done!

It's (really) OK...that I received two plaid flannel shirts in the mail last night! They were a surprise from my mom and an early Christmas present! When I was home for Thanksgiving break I couldn't stop talking about how much I wanted a flannel for the bitter winter months! She picked them up at Old Navy and I'm in love! They're super oversized and comfortable- perfect for finals studying!

It's (really) okay...that I received my package from Pink Gasoline last night! I mentioned this on Monday but I purchased a monogrammed coffee cozy and keychain last week and was eagerly anticipating its' arrival!

(used it this morning! such a nice touch to my disposable coffee cup!)

It's OK...that I finally received my sorority's stationary in the mail yesterday (it was quite the day for packages!) Now we can have personalized stationary to send thank you notes to our panhellenic sisters!

(They were ordered from Alpha Stationary in Indiana)

It's (not) OK...that fall semester is over in less than 2 weeks...that means I only have one more semester left at college...that means I'm one semester closer to graduating and entering the real world. WHAT THE HECK? I'm not ready to leave!

It's OK...that I missed the Victoria Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday..though I try to watch it every year because it is definitely an amazing show and super entertaining...I always feel just a tad bad about myself after watching...call me superficial, whatever

It's OK...that I want everything on Carly from College Prepster's monogram gift guide. But for myself...it's not acceptable to buy presents for yourself when Christmas is only 25 days away, right?!

It's (really) OK...that it's december 1st because this means many things..
1. Boston finally has cooled down! It felt downright wrong that I could walk around in shorts and a sweat shirt when I should be in the Christmas spirit. Some people hate the drop in temperature but I'm not ashamed to say I love it.
2. December 1st means the start of ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas. I love Christmas movies...I don't care how old I am but I will always love a cheesy holiday movie!
3. Secret Santa! This winter I am participating in three different Secret Santas! One within my sorority, one with the other presidents of the sororities on campus, andd the one I'm probably most excited for- the Holly Jolly Secret Santa Swap hosted by Crystal from Coffee at NordstromEmily from Life of Emily, and Ashley from Everyday AEM! I sent out a Christmas card to my secret santa this morning and I cannot wait to receive mine in the mail!

What is OK about your Thursday?!

XOXO

ps you must check out Crystal from Coffee at Nordstrom's giveaway! I'm really crossing my fingers for this one!

Christmas List! (subject to change...)

Happy Sunday Readers!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! My weekend flew by and it was amazing! Definitely needed but now of course I'm behind on sleep and homework (grrr)...but in an effort to put off practicing for a presentation tomorrow, I figure I'll share my Christmas List with you all! Disclaimer: my Christmas list is extremely monogrammed theme...I'm not sure why but I'm obsessed with anything monogrammed this season!

My mac is a little over three years old now and it's just not as white as it used to be :( I think this laptop cover would freshen it up a bit and would be super cute

I've had my eye on a Patagonia sweater or vest for a longgggg time- this fall I purchased a Vineyard Vines vest so I think this jacket would be perfect to get instead of another vest. It looks SO warm and comfortable, which is very very necessary in Boston winters. Also, Patagonia has such great environmental and community outreach campaigns! It feels like it would be money well spent!

I LOVE these earrings! I think they're so fun and would add a little something to a plain and simple outfit (aka what I wear like everyday). But I'm not sure what color combo I should get? Any suggestions?!

I discovered this perfume last winter and have been obsessed with it ever since. It's very fresh and clean but girly at the same time- and I think the bottle is just adorable! I ran out of this perfume a few weeks ago and I'm desperate for a refill!

(I did warn you all that I'm on a monogram kick this year!)

I think this would be a super cute accessory for my new grey pea coat from H&M! (or the Patagonia sweater above...) but I would definitely go with a lighter color scarf! Does anyone have one from Marley Lilly and have any suggestions?

I currently own these but they're about a year old and getting a little too worn in and I definitely need a replacement pair! They're the perfect pumps for nights out or for when I have sorority functions! I have a different pair of patent leather black shoes with a much shorter heel that I will wear for my internship next semester!

7. AEPhi Vineyard Vines Tote

I am SOO excited about this gift! (something I'm actually getting for myself) One of my sorority sisters works at Vineyard Vines in Boston and was able to customize their totes for AEPhi and at half the price! I'm so anticipating their arrival! I can't wait to use it for class next semester!

So far that's all I have for my list! I think the best part about Christmas is getting presents for other people! When I'm home for Thanksgiving, I plan on getting some shopping for family and friends started! (I'll be super busy with work at Lilly and homework but a girl can try!)

What's on your Christmas list?!

XOXO
E

ps I know I mentioned that I would do a giveaway once I reached 30 followers but I think I'm going to wait till 50! Something for me to work towards and it will make it that much more exciting!

pps be sure to check out Caitlin's from Peaches & Pearls giveaway! I'm crossing my fingers that I'll win this one- it's super cute!

ppps also check out Carly's from College Prepster giveaway! I love lists! So this would be the perfect item for me!

*I'm not sure why the date of the post says Thursday, 11/17?! I posted this on Monday!*

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day Readers!

I'm linking up with Jamie from this kind of love for the first time and I'm so excited! I'm so happy to join in on all the fun!  I think Wednesday's are a tough day to love because you're so close to the weekend but not close enough that you can give up on your responsibilities just yet!

I'm loving that... I don't have classes on Wednesdays! I only go to my part time on-campus job for a few hours and then can spend most of the day catching up on my to-do list! I always have sorority meetings later at night but I still have most of the day to be productive (homework, projects, gym, maybe squeeze some tanning in there...don't judge!)

I'm loving that...Thanksgiving break is in less then a week! I cannot wait to spend 5 days home with my family! AND...I'll be working at Lilly Pulitzer! I guess that means I won't have THAT much free time but it also means I get to pick up my formal dress! I'm thinking this:

or maybe this:

What do you think? Any other dress suggestions?!

I'm loving... this jam-packed weekend coming up! Tomorrow night I'm being "jailed" at Alpha Phi's annual Jail N'Bail! All sorority and fraternity presidents get put in jail and then their members have to come "bail" them out! All proceeds go towards the American Heart Association! The Alpha Phi ladies have a little get together planned for all of us before the event and then drive us over to the Hard Rock Cafe! I love hanging out with my fellow greeks! On Friday night, I have my sorority's date party at a local bar (and who doesn't love a date party?!) And then on sunday my sorority is hosting our own Thanksgiving dinner! We're getting most of everyone's favorites catered and then girls are going to bring their own desserts and side dishes! I was thinking of making this sweet potato dish
Does anyone have any other ideas? I would love to hear them!

I'm loving... this monogrammed ring from Marley Lilly! I'm definitely adding it to my Christmas list (another blog post to come about that!). I've been looking for a simple everyday ring that I can wear that wouldn't get in the way and I think this would be perfect! Typically during the week I stick to my simple staples: a watch, my David Yurman bracelet, pearl bracelet and pearl earrings and I think this would be a great addition!
Has anyone purchased a ring from Marley Lilly? Are they good quality?

What are YOU loving about Wednesday? I would love to know!

XOXO
