Friday Fancies!

Happy Friday!

Thank goodness it's finally the end of the week! I am really looking forward to some fun plans this weekend and mostly to just sleep in and relax. Thanksgiving and returning home cannot happen soon enough in my opinion.

Celebrating Fall sweets and flavors with Friday Fancies, can anything be better? I love cranberry sauce and especially the color cranberry. So of course I based my Friday Fancies on just that:

Even though this would probably be a cranberry overload, I do really like each individual piece of this outfit (and would probably wear them all together actually).

What's your favorite fall outfit treat and outfit to match?

XOXO

Top 5 Tuesday: November Favorites!

Just Peachy

Happy Tuesday Readers!

I'm linking up with Rachel @ Just Peachy for her Top 5 Tuesday link up and this week's theme is November favorites!

1. Changing Seasons

Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love when the leaves change colors and it is just a little bit cooler so sweaters and boots are appropriate. In my opinion there's nothing better then a big a comfy sweater, leggings and boots (actually my favorite outfit of choice aka is my OOTD today)

2. Fall Activities (that are really only appropriate in the fall)

Every single fall, I make it a point to go apple picking- it's one of my favorite things to do in October or November! Also pumpkin carving is another November favorite!

3. Fall Nail Colors!

I love switching over from my pinks and corals of the summer to deep reds and purples!

(haha and I mean who doesn't love a little bubbly also)

4. Thanksgiving!
(well, obviously)

Kind-of wrong to talk about November and not mention Thanksgiving at all. I love the food, family time, maybe even a little football, the days of from classes, and time to just relax!

5. The official start of Christmas Season!

I couldn't wait to get back to my apartment in Boston on Sunday to finallyy put up Christmas decorations! Not that I'm adamantly against when stores decorate for Christmas right after Halloween or anything (hey the more christmas cheer, the better in my opinion) but I always wait till right after Thanksgiving to deck out my apartment, crank up the Christmas music, and bust out Christmas cookies!

(I guess I have a Charlie Brown thing today!

I thought those images were cute!

What are your top 5 favorite things about November?!

XOXO

Happy Fall!

Without question, Fall is absolutely my FAVORITE season! Everything about it makes me OH, so happyyy...from big coozy sweaters, leather boots and the chance to drink a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks...what could be better?

Maybe it's the fact that Fall means we're just that much closer to CHRISTMAS (an entirely separate blog post will be dedicated to this special special holiday).  With fall comes the start of classes (um just experienced my last fall semester of college...it's november and I'm still not over it yet), new school supplies, boots, sweaters and scarves (if you couldn't already tell I love scarves, see my post here about them), changing colors of the leaves, and the crisp chill in the morning that turns into the perfect jacket-optional weather.

(my new Lilly Pulitzer agenda)

I think Boston is the ideal place to enjoy Fall weather. The Charles River is absolutely gorgeous when the leaves change colors. Going for a run on the river in the mornings is one of my favorite activities.

I found this photo on Google Images and it perfectly summarizes my favorite fall colors!

As I mentioned before, the Fall season is my absolute favorite season for fashion. I'm all about comfort so the fact that you can just wear leggings, jeans, or a skirt paired w/tights, big sweaters, boots and a scarf is ideal for me...

Two of my other favorite things about the Fall are Thanksgiving AND APPLE PICKING! Growing up in New York City, it was hard to do a ton of outdoorsy things very often but my parents made a tradition of going apple and pumpkin picking in the Hamptons every Columbus Day Weekend. I loved picking my own apples, drinking hot apple cider while snacking on a cider donut, getting myself lost in the corn maze on purpose just to scare my mom. The day was the epitome of my favorite season. I still try to go apple picking with my sorority every fall. This past October we went to Tougas Family Farm together and despite the fact that it was a little rainy it was still such a great time spent with my sisters!

Another photo I came across the covers a few of my favorite fall items...

sweaters...scarves..pumpkin spice lattes..candles...what else could a girl want? AND purple nail polish...i die! I'm a big Essie fan- here a few of the other colors I've been sporting this fall:

As I mentioned before Fall means this holiday is just around the corner:

AND the fact that we're just that much closer to this...

what better way to ring in the holiday season than with Vineyard Vines!

What are your favorite things about the Fall season?

Happy Monday!

Scarf How-To!

Happy Thursday Readers!

So I'm sure all of you have tons and tons of scarves lying around in multiple fabrics, colors, patterns, etc but do you always tend to re-wear the same three or so scarves every day in this chilly fall weather? Well I know I do. I just know they're always guaranteed to look full and cozy keep me warm in this chilly Boston weather. BUT what if you had a how-to guide to show you all different cool ways to utilize those 15 other scarves that are just collecting dust in your closet?! Well your wish is my command...my roommate came across this neat video on Youtube and I can assure you it will become a daily watch in our apartment in the mornings! Take a look:
Wendy (the creator of this video) is a stylist who has tons of different fashion how-to videos that are all super useful. She offers her readers fashion tips and advice on her website Wendy's Lookbook (the link for her youtube channel and twitter can be accessed here as well).

Just some of my favorite scarves...
1. Lilly's Murfee (maybe not the warmest but who can deny this beautiful pattern?!)
2. Classic from J.Crew (perfect for one of Wendy's looks!)
3. Forever 21 (Chunky and affordable- especially for a college gal like me!)

What did you all think? Useful? Silly? I would love to know!

 XOXO
