Ten on Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday Readers!

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far! YAY for tomorrow being hump day- means the week is almost over! And in Boston, we have a three-day weekend coming up which means MONDAY IS MARATHON MONDAY! More to come on that later...

Anyways, I found these questions on Simply Sarah's blog and I thought they would be fun!

1. Do you prefer fabric or plastic plasters? (or Band-Aids if American)
Plastic for sure! I always think the fabric ones get super dirty and yucky!
(Who knew they called them plasters abroad?!)

2. Do you prefer gel pens, biro or fine liners for everyday writing?
I probably prefer fine liners? Over anything else, I love the Bic Ultra Round Stick Grip pens and use them almost daily!
3. Do you have a fear or needles/dentists/blood (if all three, which is the worst) and is there a story behind it?
Out of all three, I weirdly hate the dentist the most. I have no problem with blood or needles and will always donate blood at blood drives! For some reason, I hatee the taste of the cleaning stuff dentists use and my mouth is always so sore after. I also hate the fact you're not supposed to eat or drink after the dentist- even if I'm not hungry, the fact that I can't eat or drink makes me hungry and thirsty!

4. Do you like jelly?  Do you eat it at any time other than when poorly?
I like jelly! I don't tend to eat it so so much but hey, who can beat a good pb&j?
Not sure what poorly means though haha

5. What are your Easter traditions? (if not Christian, insert your own meaningful festival here and tell us about that instead)
Well I guess it depends on where I am and who I'm celebrating with but when I was younger we used to always go to my grandparent's house and celebrate with my entire family. When I'm at school, I try to go to Easter mass and brunch with some sorority sisters! But just this past weekend, I had a quite dinner with my parents before heading back to school!
6. What’s your favourite book that you have read so far this year?
THE HUNGER GAMES (by far!)

7. Do you have any magazine subscriptions or recommendations that we should know about?
I subscribe to SELF and Women's Health! I love both magazines! It's hard to keep up with them at school so sometimes I save them for the summer months! The recipes in SELF are great!
8. Favourite etsy store (if you know the owner IRL, also include your favourite that you didn’t originally know IRL)?
I love Lemon Seed & Co, My Pink and Green Garden, and Pink Gasoline! Those are only a few that I can remember off the top of my head though, they're are definitely a ton others!
9. If you had play money (£100/$150) that could only be used on shoes, what shoes would you buy?
Probably a new pair of wedges from Steve Madden! I need to stock up for summer!
10. If you were going pet shopping tomorrow, what would you choose?
A PUPPY! As a kid, I grew up in an apartment building so my parents never wanted to get a dog because they didn't think it would be fair if we didn't have a backyard for he/she to run around in! AKA I'm dyingggg for a puppy of my own! One of the first big decisions I'll make as an adult is when to finally take the leap and get a dog!

Hope you enjoyed these!

Catching Up!

Happy Monday Readers!

So since I've been so absent from the blog world recently, I figured it's only fair that I do a catch-up post! Even though I've been going through a bit of a rough patch recently, that doesn't mean there haven't been quite a few fun times out and about in Boston! Though ending this semester comes with a lot of nerves and anxiety, it also comes with a lot of fun, end-of-year events. April is going to be one busy, busy month with marathon monday, phormal and tons of different senior activities, I'm definitely going to be a bit crazed but it's important for me to try to enjoy each day or night with my best friends during the short time that we have left together! So to sum up the last few weeks- here are some photos!

AEPhi's Mirror Ceremony! This is one of our ritual that occurs every year, the night before initiation!

My NEW princesses! The bottom three girls are the newest additions to my phamily- my great-grand littles (why am i SO old?!) It's Lori, Rachel, and Shauna from left to right. I love and am so obsessed with each and every one of them! I couldn't have picked more perfect additions to my phamily!

A few fun nights out with friends!

The above two photos are from a weekend in Montreal! A fraternity from BU organized the trip and it was a really good time! The temperatures were like below freezing so there was not much sight seeing to be done but a few fun nights out and some good meals made for a great weekend!

A little bit of day drinking to start the beginning of spring break :)

Take Back the Night Rally with AEPhi! In light of all the recent scandal at BU, this rally was extremely important to me and my chapter hence our strong presence!

A Phine Affair! This is my chapter's annual spring philanthropy event. It's essentially a benefit dance raising money and awareness for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation! Elizabeth Glaser was an AEPhi sister who was diagnosed with AIDs due to a blood transfusion and her children were unfortunately passed the disease as well. The organization is extremely close to my chapter's heart and we love coming together with our fellow greeks to raise money each year. This spring's event raised over $7,000! A new record for us!

These two pictures are probably from one of my favorite events this spring. BARSTOOL BLACKOUT TOUR! It's essentially one big rave/concert hosted by Barstool. It's been to all the major schools/universities in the US and came to BU last week. We got a group of about 50 of us together to take a party bus to the concert and back. I posted a video to give you an idea of what it was like! I had NO idea what to expect and honestly didn't know if this type of thing was going to be up my alley but turns out it definitely was! I mean what's better than music and your best friends? Plus a little neon didn't hurt either!

Happy Friday!

                                                              Happy Friday Readers!

I am so happy it's the end of the week! Friday means the weekend is finally here and this weekend I'm heading home to NYC for a little R&R! After a busy week of exams and shuffling between my job and internship, I am definitely looking forward to some serious relaxation and time with my mom and dad! I'll also have some time to plan out some posts for the upcoming week so I don't fall behind!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and Happy Easter! (or Passover!)

XOXO

Top 5 Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday Readers!

First of all, THANK YOU so much for all your sweet comments yesterday, I will be responding to each one individually but I just wanted to say how much they meant to me! It helped remind me how much I love blogging and how happy I am to be back in the groove of things!

Since, I'm trying to get back to a regular blogging schedule-it would only make sense to participate in Rachel Just PeachyTop 5 Tuesdays  This week's theme is Top 5 Beauty Products I Can't Live Without! Something every girl knows a ton about it! (Mine are in no particular order!)

1. Neutrogena Make-up Remover Wipes
These save my life! They're the perfect trick before bed or even in between a busy day when you need to change your makeup from day to night! And they never sting my eyes! What could be better?
2. St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub is another one of my "life-saving" products! I love using it in the shower or after a long day at work/class because it always leaves me refreshed!

3. Bare Minerals Eyeshadow!
I love how these shadows make my eyes pop and they're are so many great colors to chose from! I especially love the sparkles!

4. Clinique Makeup
I swear by Clinique products. Literally within the past year, I've committed to only using Clinique products for my face makeup so my concealer, bronzer, toner, moisturizer, etc is all from Clinique. I love the light, natural feeling of the makeup and my face never feels like I painted color on. I think it's the best for my skin type and definitely recommend it for anyone who is fair with slightly sensitive skin!

5. Eos Lip Balm

I actually learned about this lip balm from the blog world and fell in love with it immediately! It's so fun to use and the smell and taste is great and leave my lips feeling healthy!

What are the 5 beauty products you can't live without?!

Welcoming Pink Zin Back to the Blog World!

Happy Monday Readers!

First and foremost, I sincerely apologize from my absence from the blog world! Things have been a bit crazy up here in Boston lately and I simply could not find the time or energy to get back to a normal blogging schedule. I cannot believe that it's been over a month since I've posted- I feel absolutely terrible! Truth be told, I've been going through a bit of a rough patch since the semester started and especially over the last six weeks and lost my way a bit. No reason to go into serious detail via this blog but I know it has a lot to do with losing a sense of who I am with all the serious changes in my life approaching.  I've always been able to define myself by something or know exactly who I am and who I want to be. Six months ago, I probably would have easily been able to tell you where I wanted to be in five years. Now, I'm not too sure. The future is a lot scarier than I thought it was going to be and with it comes overwhelming feelings of anxiety and nerves. I'm sure all graduating seniors feel this same sense of anxiety but for some reason it has been consuming me recently and I haven't been able to snap out of it.

rambling, rambling rambling....

Within the past two weeks, I've begun to try to take steps to get back to my normal routine- whatever that may be. I've been exercising much more and have tried to get back to a normal sleep and eating schedule. A visit from my mom definitely helped as well! But also, I need to get back to doing the things that I used to love- like blogging! I abandoned Pink Zin because I never felt like I had the energy or motivation to post but I think getting back into blogging will be good for me since it was truly something I had learned to love!

So to any of my followers who are reading this post- thank you! And I cannot wait to get back into the groove of things and hopefully this well help me get out of this funk!

Oddly enough this was my horoscope a few weeks ago and I really think it captured EXACTLY how I've been feeling recently...

"If you watch a soap opera, the concept of time can be meaningless. One moment a main character becomes pregnant, and in the next few weeks she already has a baby. The writers of daytime dramas condense and expand time to meet the needs of the plot. Unfortunately you can't do that, Gemini. You are now in a situation that you wish would end so that you could begin a much happier, more rewarding storyline. Your hoped-for happy ending will occur, but you will first have to work through a small drama of your own. But don't worry, it's coming."
