It's OK Thursday....

Happy Thursday Everyone! 

YAY for it almost being the weekend :) My mom is coming to visit today and is staying through Sunday so it should be a nice combo of fun and relaxation. I'm also participating in the Climb to the Top event benefitting MS on Saturday AM with some coworkers! I used to participate in a lot of philanthropy and fundraising back in college through my involvement in my sorority. But since graduation there haven't been many opportunities to give back or get involved so I'm really excited for this event! 

How do you stay involved in your community post graduation from college? 

Anyway, I'm linking up for It's OK Thursday since I'm OK with a lot of things today! 

It's OK....that I'm obsessed with  Pret A Manger! They recently opened 2 in Boston and I love getting coffee and breakfast from there in the morning after the gym. The staff is always SO friendly and the place just smells amazing. Feels very un-chain-y which I like! 

It's OK...that a fun surprise arrived in my mailbox last night! My mom bought me new Kate Spade gloves! I love them and really like that they're called "the big apple" :) 

*since this was a gift, I'm still sticking to my no-shopping for Lent*

It's (really) OK...that I made it to Barre Burn this morning at the gym! I love that class so much! And I must say I'm proud of myself for getting to the gym before work 2x this week! 

It's OK...that my mom is coming to town this weekend! It means yummy food and good wine and some fun mother/daughter time! 

It's not OK...that it's March 1st tomorrow - um WHERE did the time go?? I feel like the days go by slowly (hello 9-5) but then all the sudden it's almost spring?! (not that I'm complaining about that!).

Hurray for blogging two days in a row! And what's more appropriate than linking up for It's Okay Thursdays! There's a bunch of different things I'm OK with on this thursday...

I'm super OK with the fact that I just signed a lease for a new apartment in Fall! Make's me sooo eager for September to get here! 

I'm OK with see the new Batman movie with my office this afternoon! Hurray for company outings to the movies! 

I'm not OK with the current weather...grey skies, cloudy, and humid- not a fan! 

I'm super OK with it almost being the weekend! Even though I have to work on Saturday, ITP is having a big sale so it should be busy which will help make the hours fly by! 

It's (kinda) OK to go to the same salad place multiple times a week...not okay that sometimes the salads I get are so loaded with extra toppings, I think it defeats the purpose of having an actual salad....

It's OK...to be completely obsessed with this Marley Lilly  clutch...pay-day is tomorrow and I feel like I need to stop buying summer clothes, so maybe I should finally take the plunge and buy this clutch!

Since I'm trying to get back to a regular blogging schedule it only made sense to link up with Amber & Neely for It's OK Thursdays! Since it's thursday, almost the weekend and end of a tough work-week there are a TON of things I'm OK with today! 

It's OK...that I'm loving my desk at work. It's large and spacey and doesn't make me feel like I'm stuck in a cubicle all day long :) 

It's OK...that this iced coffee is making my day right now! Definitely necessary on a scorching hot day like this! 

It's OK...that my job is really challenging. Well not really OK but it definitely keep things more interesting. I'm working in sales and it's definitely tough and sometimes I feel super depressed when I'm not doing well but that also motivates me to just try harder! Anyone work in sales and have any advice for me?! I would so appreciate it! 

It's OK...that I'm SO excited for this weekend! My mom is visiting and I can't wait! We're going out to dinner at a restaurant with live music tomorrow night which should be really fun and different and then are going to my cousins house to lay out by the pool on Saturday! I'm excited for a busy but fun weekend!

It's OK...that it's Thursday which means the weekend officially starts tonight! 

It's OK...that Monday is President's Day which means no classes, no internship, no work! YAY for a three day weekend. 

It's (not) OK...that I have my first exam of the semester next thursday so a majority of this weekend will be spent studying...womp womp

It's OK...that I'm going to see the Vow this weekend with my roommates! CANNOT WAIT! 

It's (REALLY) OK...that big little week starts NEXT WEEK! Even though I'm a great grand big (oh my gosh I'm OLD) I still love to obsess over our three new additions to the princess phamily! I can't wait for reveal! 

It's OK...that I spent Valentine's Day with my best friends- couldn't have picked better people to spend the day with!

I hope everyone is having a good week! Today is dreadful in Boston- super cold and sooo much rain! Walking outside is like taking a shower!! Today I'm linking up with Neely and Amber for It's OK Thursdays! 

It's OK...that I'm all settled into my apartment! My mom took me back on Tuesday afternoon and I spent all of yesterday grocery shopping, unpacking and organizing. It feels so good to be settled again! I hate when everything is scattered and not unpacked! 

It's OK...that I ordered that L.L. Bean coat that I've had my eye on! Problem is- by the time I got around to ordering, the sale was over. I was SO disapointed! Lesson learned- don't let a good sale pass you by! But then this afternoon I got a 20% coupon- so I ended up getting the coat in black for the same price! YAY! (inset happy dance!) 

It's (really) OK...how excited I am for the monogram swap hosted by Ashley and Crystal! I've become obsessed with anything monogrammed so this is the perfect swap! And since chances are I won't be celebrating valentines day haha this will be the perfect thing to cheer me up! 

It's OK...that BU Formal Recruitment starts on Saturday! Even though recruitment is really tiring and can be very stressful, I'm still excited for it, especially since it's my last one! Just need to put the finishing touches on my senior speech and I'll be all set! 

It's (really) OK...that I've gotten my butt back to the gym the last two days! Running and home- workouts were alright at home but I'm happy to be back at the gym and back to a routine.

It's OK...that I go back to Boston next Tuesday. I'm loving the time off from school and getting to spend time with my family but I'm ready to get back into the swing of things and back to a normal schedule. Staying in PJs till noon is getting a bit old...

It's OK...that I received my first monogrammed scarf from Marley Lilly the other day! I chose a pink scarf with a Khaki monogram to match the gloves and earmuffs I wear at school! I'm really loving the monogram but I wish the scarf was a bit longer! 

It's OK...that I made a trip to TJ Maxx yesterday and came back with Nike Norts, Lilly Pulitzer note cards, Apple Cinnamon Scone Mix, and Banana Chips for under $25! I lovee a trip to TJ Maxx! 

It's (not that) OK...that my sorority's formal recruitment is in a little over a week! I cannot believe this will be my last recruitment ever! I remember when I went through recruitment three years ago like it was yesterday! I'm so excited for our new members (whoever they may be!). 

It's OK that...I'm going into the city today to one of the biggest shoe sales of the year! I'm looking for new loafers! Hopefully I'll be able to find something! 

It's OK that...I created a button! Or at least I tried to-still trying to figure some of this blogging stuff out! I added some of my favorite read's buttons to my blog and feel free to grab mine!

It's OK...that today was the last day of classes! Just one final until CHRISTMAS BREAK! I'm soo close I can taste it!

BUT It's (not) OK...that today was the last day of classes? Why? BECAUSE THAT MEANS I ONLY HAVE ONE SEMESTER LEFT OF COLLEGE! I don't want to leaveee....ever....

It's OK...that today is the start of the weekend! Such a great weekend coming up! Semi-Formal tomorrow, holiday party at a professors saturday (I'm making Brie En Croute...any recipe suggestions?!) and AEPhi's End of Semester Brunch and official Officer Installation on Sunday! aka that means that besides helping with formal recruitment in january, I can officially wipe my hands of my presidential duties. WOAH, separate post to come on that...

It's OK...that I finallyyy got my first manicure today since september (tomorrow is semi-formal)...the prices in Boston just kill me compared to how cheap it is in NYC. I can get a mani/pedi for only $20 back home! Such a steal! 

It's OK....that I tried to do some Christmas shopping this afternoon and ended up buying something for myself (okay maybe not okay, sorry mom if you're reading this!) But they were steals! I'll post photos tomorrow!

It's (really) OK...that I got an A- on this blog project! I was so happy/proud when I got my paper back the other day! And I love that this is something I plan on continuing even though the semester is over! 

It's OK...that winter break means being back at Lilly! Christmas shopping here I come!

Hey it's ok...

to have woken up this morning at 9:01am when I had to be at work at 9am..(um hello freaky internal alarm clock) 

to run to work in yoga pants, a t-shirt and my glasses (ew) but to skip my first class just to go back to my apartment to put normal clothes and makeup on (good thing I only live two blocks from where I work!) 

to be going home in less than a week! I cannot wait to sleep in my old bed and see my family! And especially to get back to work at Lilly Pulizer! 

to be accepted into both of the internships that I applied to for next semester, when I didn't think I would get either! (gives me a ray of hope for real-life job applications!)

to be overly obsessed with the french onion soup from Panera...I order it at least once a week!

to carry around my Lilly planner, Lilly mini-notebook, and Lilly post-it book everywhere I go...hey! when I girl likes to make lists- she likes to make lists! 

to sport my Vineyard Vines pullover today since it is such a yucky fall day :( 

to be excited that it's Thursday and that means it's the official start to the weekend! If you read mypost below, you know that I have a very exciting weekend coming up! 

to be continuously working on my Christmas list and send my mom 10 emails a day with new ideas only for her to respond with "aren't you too old for Christmas lists Elena?" NOO...a girl can never be too old for christmas lists right?!

to be planning my first GIVEAWAY for next week! I would like to reach 30 followers by that time :) Seasoned bloggers, any advice for going about planning this?
